The PPM Tool consultant is a subject matter expert who works directly with Senior Management and Stakeholders to define requirements, identify solution options, and recommend the appropriate PPM Tool solution. The new PPM tool is expected to automate and scale the portfolio and project management processes for this growing financial services leader.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Lead a comprehensive Discovery phase for PPM Tool selection
· Work with stakeholders and core team to document current and future state requirements
· Collect and analyze data to support decision-making and translate data into meaningful information and create a business case
· Develop the RFP process requirements for the PPM Tool
· Communicate and collaborate daily with core team and project sponsors as required
· Manage overall planning of data collection, requirements, and tool selection, including high-level timeline, task and deliverable definition
· Understand how current work streams will be impacted by this new PPM tool, including:
- o Technical solution implementation
- o Process definition and implementation
- o Data mapping and migration
- o Change management, training, and communication
· Report progress/status regularly to project sponsors through established channels.
Required Education/Training:
· Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field
· Project Management certification
Required Experience:
· Minimum of 10 years leading enterprise-level project management software tool implementations.
· Experience working in Financial Services
· Extensive project management experience and technical expertise on large, strategic initiatives.
